California Fires & You

Last year 1 Million people were displaced by the fires in California….but what does this mean for us in Charlotte, NC? Well not much unless you knew any of the displaced people. One thing it does remind us. that there are several things we should check for our own safety.

Home Owners Check List

Check your home owners insurance policy.
Do you have enough coverage?
Will your life be ok if you home is involved in a fire?
Can you afford to pay rent on an apartment as well as your mortgage while your house is being repaired?
If not, you better make sure that your insurance policy covers it….and for longer than a couple of weeks.

Go check your policy or call your insurance agent to discuss your options. You might be surprised at how little it costs to increase your coverage. And that piece of mind is priceless.
