Mallard Creek High School Swim

WOW! The Mallard Creek High School Swim Team is off to a fantastic start! Moving to a brand new school in your junior year is difficult but my daughter’s made the best of it. Coming from a high school with a dominate swim team to a new high school with a start up swim team only added to her reluctance.
Thanks to principle Kit Rea and her wonderful staff I am happy to report that my daughter is doing extremely well in her new school. As you can imagine, the first few days had many challenges but after a short period of time things settled down and my daughter began to really appreciate all that this brand new school had to offer. Mallard Creek High School has many exciting classes and clubs to choose from. My daughter chose a medical science class and joined the H.O.S.A. club (Health Occupations Students of America) to learn more about a career in the medical field.
The swim team coach took many talented swimmers previously from different high schools and transformed them into a strong team (not just a bunch of kids wearing the same color swim suit). At the first swim meet the girls proved to be a force to be reckoned with as they took first place in the meet.
Proudly, my daughter came in first place in all four events that she swam! Will they be able to keep this up? Well….as much as they enjoyed the victory they do have two schools that will certainly put them to the challenge.
