New Middle School in Highland Creek

Have you seen the new construction in Highland Creek? For those in the area with middle school aged children it is a welcome addition.

The new Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) middle school in Highland Creek can be accessed either from the Highland Creek Parkway or Ridge Road. According to CMS it will be a “prototype middle school” with 54 classrooms. The overall budget for the new middle school is $22,600,000.00 million.

When Will It Open?

The new middle school in Highland Creek is expected to open in early August. This will be just in time for the new 2009/2010 school year. CMS historically has opened new schools on schedule.
